International Seminar on Spectrum Regulations started in Istanbul.
International Seminar on Spectrum Regulations started in Information and Communication Technologies Authority (ICTA) Istanbul premises on 14 September with inaugural speech by the Chairman of ICT Board, Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan.
In his speech, Dr. Sayan said that as ICTA they paid significant attention to sharing experience and exchange of information in the international fora.
Dr. Sayan also gave some statistics relating to the first quarter of 2015 Turkish electronic communications sector and the newly held IMT Advanced auction which is known as 4.5 G in the Turkish public. He said that this auction will highly contribute to the growth of the sector. Dr. Sayan also mentioned that Turkey is the Head of G-20 2015 Summit and it is going to be held in Antalya. Furthermore, he said that ICTA hosts important meetings in the recent years and signs memorandum of understandings (MoU) with various countries.
ICTA Heads of Departments, Mr. Gazali Çiçek, Mr. Erdinç Tekbaş and Mr Şuayip Çetin and the relevant ICT experts gave seminars on spectrum management, monitoring and market surveilance during the seminar.
Victor Strelets from ITU Radio Regulations Board gave a special masterclass. Spectrum Seminar will end with a certificate ceremony on 18 September.
