TURKSAT MARTYRS MONUMENT WAS OPENED

The "TURKSAT Martyrs Monument", which was commissioned for the memory of Ahmet Özsoy and Ali Karslı, who were martyred in the attack on TÜRKSAT during the 15th coup attempt, was opened on the 15th of July.

Transportation, Maritime and Communications Minister Ahmet Arslan opened the "TURKSAT Martyrs Monument", which was commissioned by Ahmet Özsoy and Ali Karslı, who were martyred in the attack on TURKSAT on 15 July coup attempt. President of Information and Communication Technologies Authority Ömer Fatih Sayan, the families of martyrs of TURKSAT, Turksat Chairman Cenk Sener and ICTA councilor Musa Sahin also attended to the program.

Emphasizing that the Turkish nation stood in front of tanks, rifles and helicopters in the coup attempt, Arslan wished that all the martyrs' place would be paradise.

Arslan, who said that the efforts of Ahmet Özsoy, Ali Karslı and the veterans would be better understood when the importance of informing to the citizens about President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister Binali Yildirim to the citizen were taken into consideration, indicates “Broadcast of that night had to reach healthy to 80 million. The traitors knew how important it was to not access this information. Because they know this, many targets are selected, including TURKSAT, including internet and telephone cuts.”

Minister Arslan thanked all the extraordinary efforts of the staff to stop the broadcast of "coup manifesto" and to reach accurate information to the nation on July 15th night.

Arslan, telling that the great family who endeavors in the transportation sector said that while they were doing all of this, they acted with the understanding of their duties.

Arslan, emphasizing that they were proud of being a brother to such a nation, being a martyr for the future of the country at that night, noticed “We should live this pride without forgetting that the traitors can always be treacherous."
